- Remicade (infliximab) is a chimaeric monoclonal antibody that binds to
tumour necrosis factor-alpha and is indicated for a range of
inflammation-related conditions.
- Nasonex (mometasone furoate) is a mid-potency corticosteroid developed as
an aqueous nasal spray. It is marketed for the prophylaxis and treatment of
symptoms of allergies, and as Asmanex for the treatment of asthma.
- Temodar (temozolomide), an imidazotetrazine, is a cytotoxic alkylating
agent principally indicated for the treatment of glioblastoma multiforma.
- Schering-Plough has developed longer-acting forms of Intron A (a
recombinant version of a naturally-occurring interferon (IFN) alpha) which cut
dosing from three-times to once weekly. This new product is marketed as
PEG-Intron (polyethylene glycol IFN alpha-2b) for the treatment of hepatitis C.
- Vytorin (ezetimibe+simvastatin) is a fixed-combination tablet that offers
a novel approach to cholesterol management. Merck & Co and Schering Plough
developed and market this product through their cholesterol-management joint
venture franchise.
- Zetia (ezetimibe) is a cholesterol absorption inhibitor developed and
marketed through the Schering-Plough/Merck & Co joint venture.
