SUMMARY
This study aims to examine the landscape for emerging mass-market consumer
satellite services in Asia Pacific. In the past, the satellite communications
industry and research efforts have invariably focused on the corporate market
for satellite services. Increasingly, however, we see a shift of interest
towards the consumer market, long thought to be unviable for satellite service
providers, with the exception of Direct to Home video.
