SUMMARY
This IDC forecast update presents the latest update from 2004 through 2009 for
the Western European UMTS and WiFi infrastructure market. Revenue forecasts are
provided for the total Western European UMTS and WiFi infrastructure.
Furthermore an updated forecast of the total number of Western European
hotspots is provided. Country splits are not included.
According to Romolo Pusceddu, research manager for IDC's European Mobile and
WiFi Infrastructure service, from 2004 the Western European UMTS market is
expected to recover both in terms of infrastructure spending and end-user
demand.
