SUMMARY
This IDC study analyzes the 3Q04 IGN/GameSpy gamer survey, which measured
respondents' mobile gaming participation and interest in this activity. This
survey also queried respondents about digital audio devices and services (see
3Q04 Gamer Survey: Digital Audio Technologies and the Gamer, IDC #32997, March
2005). This study is part of a series of quarterly surveys exploring various
topics related to gaming, such as mobile gaming, the emotional factors driving
game play, E3 awareness, and PC/console online gaming, among others.

spending most game play time on traditional gaming platforms, such as the
