SUMMARY
Abstract
This IDC study explores how several carriers are expanding their global
presence in the IP and MPLS segments. In this study, we take a comprehensive
look at the international expansion strategies for top 5 global carriers.
"With the U.S. economy in a state of flux, carriers are looking to the global
market for growth opportunities and as a means of establishing new sources of
revenue. Given the wealth of multinationals with headquarters or major offices
outside the United States, carriers are taking great strides to enhance their
in-country presence via direct local investment and partnerships," says Meera
Singh, research director, Worldwide Telecommunications Services.
