SUMMARY
With voice service revenue growth starting to level off, mobile operators
around the world are hoping that the introduction of 3G service will help to
compensate for this by making value-added services their main source of
revenue in the future. CDMA2000 1x EV-DO services were launched in Korea in
2002.
The high transmission speed supported by this new technology has stimulated
the development of a wide range of new value-added services. This report will
analyze the current status of mobile value-added services in the Korean market.
